What is the meaning of life?

I enjoyed reading an article by Richard Herring in todays Metro entitled “The Meaning of Life“.  Whilst providing me with a light-hearted read on my commute to work this morning it also left me wondering….”Should I be making more of my precious time?”

Recently I came across an article about the late Steve Jobs wherein he was quoted as saying….

“When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like:   “If you live each day like its your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.”   It made an impression on me, and ever since then, for the last 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Reading that quote along with reading todays article has left a lasting impression on me also.  Who knows maybe it will for you too.  So whilst you ponder on life, love and what the hell it’s all about I have copied a few more of Steve Jobs inspiring quotes for you to ponder…

“If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, with any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.”

“We don’t get a chance to do that many things, so every one should be really excellent. Because this is our life.”

“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”

“Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Therein ends my very first blog.  Thank you for reading.
